The greater part of what my neighbors call good I believe in my soul to be bad, and if I repent of anything, it is very likely to be my good behavior. What demon possessed me that I behaved so well?
-H.D. Thoreau, WALDEN, Ch. 1

Video of Grupp UCLA talk: "Atomic Buddhism: Quantum Energy and the Nonexistence of Matter"

[Running time: 1 hour 39 minutes. It downloads fast.]

This talk was part of a mini-conference through the Art-Science program at UCLA, and I was invited to talk at UCLA by the famous nanoscientist, Jim Gimzewski, and he is the one who introduces me in this talk.

This talk was held at the UCLA's Digital Media Arts Building, 11000 Kinross Avenue, Los Angeles California.

Note: Near the very end of this talk I mention Paracelsus, but in my haste to finish the talk, and in my fatigue at the end of it, I inadvertently misspoke, and I meant to say Pericles, not Paracelsus.

Here is a piece of art I made associated with this talk:

Title: "Spectroscopy"

April 20, 2006 (outdoor chalk-art, composed with help from Amelia Grupp)
