This talk was part of a mini-conference
through the Art-Science program at UCLA, and I was invited to talk at UCLA by
the famous nanoscientist,
Jim Gimzewski,
and he is the one who introduces me in this talk.
This talk was held at the UCLA's Digital
Media Arts Building, 11000 Kinross Avenue, Los Angeles California.

Note: Near the very end of this
talk I mention Paracelsus, but in my haste to finish the talk, and in my
fatigue at the end of it, I inadvertently misspoke, and I meant to say
Pericles, not Paracelsus.

| Here
is a piece of art I made associated with this talk:

Title: "Spectroscopy"
April 20, 2006 (outdoor chalk-art,
composed with help from Amelia Grupp)
